Samu Karanko is Head of Forecasting at Vaisala Xweather. With 25 years of expertise in road weather research and R&D, he drives innovation in weather forecasting for ground transportation. Previously, as Chief Scientist at Foreca, he led development of the road weather modeling capabilities later acquired by Vaisala. Today, Samu leads a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, engineers, and meteorologists tackling the challenges weather poses to safe and efficient mobility.
