Scott Mackaro (Ma – care – oh) is the Chief Science Officer for Vaisala Xweather.  He is an established leader in the Atmospheric Science community, specializing in predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, machine learning, environmental monitoring, and their commercial applications. At Xweather, he brings together science, business, and technology to develop innovative solutions to some of humanity’s greatest challenges. Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2001, and his MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2003 and 2008, respectively. He also holds business certificates from Harvard Business School Online.
